Support the Green Wave Talent Fund
To the Green Wave Family:
This is one of my favorite times of the year. The start of the fall semester is a special time on campus, as our facilities are filled with student-athletes studying, training, and connecting with one another, brimming with excitement at the opportunities ahead. Supporting our teams as they return to competition is invigorating, and reconnecting with many of you at events on campus, and around the country, reminds me of what makes the Green Wave Family special.Â
Our teams competing this fall are off to great starts: Football is 3-0 after defeating Duke in front of a sold out crowd at Yulman Stadium on Saturday, Volleyball is 5-3 and has won five of their last six matches, and both of our Cross Country programs claimed first place in their season opener, the Battle of New Orleans meet.
And while our teams are enjoying great success on the fields and courts, our department remains constantly focused on ways in which we can elevate the resources available to our programs. This pursuit is never-ending, as we look for ways to capitalize on our momentum, propelling our ascent as a department.
At this point, you are likely aware of how drastically the collegiate athletics landscape has evolved over the last several years. Most recently, as a result of the landmark House v. NCAA settlement, athletic departments across the country are now permitted to directly provide their student-athletes with Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities and other direct benefits (typically referred to as 'revenue sharing'), for the first time in NCAA history.
As a response to the changing landscape, earlier this year, we launched the Green Wave Talent Fund to generate the resources necessary to provide our student-athletes with NIL support and other meaningful benefits. Through this new effort, we are recognizing the value our student-athletes bring to our Athletic Department, University, and greater community.Â
Today, I ask that you consider making a 100% tax-deductible donation to the Green Wave Talent Fund, making a meaningful impact on our department's ability continue thriving in this new collegiate athletics landscape.
Supporting the Green Wave Talent Fund is the most direct way to positively impact the on-field success of our programs. This is a critical moment for our Athletic Department, and our competitiveness depends on our ability to grow the Green Wave Talent Fund.
As the collegiate athletics landscape continues to evolve, our commitment to providing Green Wave student-athletes with a first-class and transformative experience remains unwavering. If you'd like to support Tulane Athletics, but the Green Wave Talent Fund isn't your preferred area of interest, growing the Green Wave Club Annual Fund remains a critical need and, ultimately, an engine for our success. We would certainly be grateful for your contribution to the Green Wave Club Annual Fund.
For more information, please contact the Green Wave Club at (504) 865-5356 or by email at greenwaveclub@tulane.edu.
Thank you for your continued support of Tulane Athletics, and for your consideration of a gift to the Green Wave Talent Fund.
