Green Wave Begins 2026 Beach Volleyball Season

NEW ORLEANS – The 2026 beach volleyball campaign begins this weekend with No. 20 Tulane hosting the Green Wave Invitational at White Sands Volleyball Courts. The two-day event begins Friday morning and concludes on Saturday. Courts 1-3 will stream on Sporfie with live stats available on Volleyball Life.

Seven total teams will partake in the tournament. Tulane is joined by No. 12 LSU, Oregon, Spring Hill, Texas A&M – Corpus Christi, New Orleans, and South Florida.

The Green Wave begins its campaign against the 12th-ranked Tigers Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. Tulane plays its second and final match of day one at 1:30 p.m. against Texas A&M – Corpus Christi. The Wave plays three times on Saturday, first against Oregon at 8:30 a.m. A dual against South Florida follows at 1:30 p.m., and the day concludes against crosstown foe New Orleans at 4:00 p.m.

Tulane enters the weekend with a week full of momentum. The Wave checked in at No. 18 in the TruVolley rankings while also being tabbed at No. 20 in the AVCA preseason coaches poll. Three Tulane players were recognized on the Preseason All-Conference USA Team earlier today: Skylar Ensign, Katie Hansen, and Molly Trodd.

After competing this weekend, Tulane will remain in Louisiana for the Tiger Beach Challenge next weekend in Baton Rouge.
