Tulane Trio Named to Preseason All-CUSA Beach Volleyball Team
Feb 19, 2026 | Women's Beach Volleyball
DALLAS – Conference USA has announced its preseason all-conference honorees for beach volleyball this afternoon with a trio of Tulane players garnering recognition. Skylar Ensign, Katie Hansen, and Molly Trodd all received the nod entering the 2026 campaign to represent the No. 20 Green Wave.
Â
Tulane's three selections are the most by any school in the league on the 11-player team. Florida Atlantic, FIU, and UAB each had two as the next-closest teams behind the Green Wave. FIU's Brianna Luoma was tabbed as the league's preseason player of the year.
Â
"So excited for Molly, Sky, and Katie for the recognition by CUSA," said head coach Eyal Zimet. "Their effort and attitude each and every day is a massive driver for our program! Our entire team is eager to start the season together, keep working hard, and intentionally grow from weekend to weekend. Congratulations again to Molly, Sky, and Katie! Roll Wave!"
Â
Skylar Ensign is a junior from Laguna Beach, California. She was 26-12 last season between flights two and three, going 15-8 at No. 2 and 11-4 at No. 3. When paired with Molly Trodd at the third flight, she was an unblemished 5-0. Ensign had key wins last season over Hawaii, Washington, and LSU.
Â
Katie Hansen is a junior transfer from Stephen F. Austin. A native of Austin, Texas, she played at the top flight for the Lumberjacks all of last season with 23 wins, including two in the Southland Conference Tournament. Hansen was named Second-Team All-SLC with key wins over No. 14 Texas, Coastal Carolina, Tulane, and Boise State.
Â
Molly Trodd is a senior from London, England. She was 24-13 last season and split two matches at No. 1 while posting a 17-12 record at No. 2. At the third flight, she was an undefeated 6-0. Trodd secured a key win over LSU.
Â
All three Wave players participated in the AVCA Pairs National Championship in the fall slate. Ensign and Trodd paired together with a 3-2 record to tie for 25th. Hansen paired with Emma Morris and went 2-3 to tie for 43rd.
Â
No. 20 Tulane begins the season tomorrow with the Green Wave Invitational at White Sands Volleyball Courts. The Wave is set for five total duals with the opener coming against No. 12 LSU at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow morning.
