Schedule Changes Announced for Longhorn Showdown

AUSTIN, Texas – Due to forecasted severe weather and lightning in the Austin area for Saturday, April 4, the schedule for this weekend's Longhorn Showdown has been amended as announced by the University of Texas. Tulane is now set for a trio of duals tomorrow before playing one final contest on Saturday morning.

The original schedule for the tournament featured two duals for the Green Wave on Friday with one more at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday to conclude the round-robin portion of the event. The seeded duals were to follow. The tournament is still utilizing a round-robin format that will lead into a pair of seeded duals, however the schedule has now condensed. Each team will now play three times on Friday with the entirety of the round-robin slate taking place tomorrow. Saturday's action will be just the two seeded duals.

Tulane will now open against the third-ranked host Longhorns at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. This contest will still be streamed on Longhorn Network. Immediately after, the Wave will take on No. 19 Washington at 12:00 p.m. Tulane will close the day against Houston Christian at 4:00 p.m. Tomorrow's results will determine the seeding for Saturday's finale, which will begin with the third-place dual at either 9:00 or 10:00 a.m. The championship dual between the top-two seeds will take place approximately 15 minutes following the conclusion of the third-place match-up, and it will be streamed on the Longhorn Network.
