Sep 17, 2026 | Women's Beach Volleyball
NEW ORLEANS – The 2026 fall slate of action has been unveiled for the defending Conference USA beach volleyball champion Tulane Green Wave as announced by head coach Eyal Zimet. The fall schedule features four weekends of competition, including one event hosted at White Sands Beach Volleyball Courts.
Â
The fall kicks off on October 10 and 11 close to home at Coconut Beach in Kenner, Louisiana, with the AVCA Pairs Qualifier, which will provide Tulane a chance to earn a second bid into the AVCA Pairs National Championship. The Wave already has one bid after last season's performance.
Â
An AVCA Team Event follows on October 24 and 25 in Huntsville, Alabama, the first of back-to-back AVCA events in Huntsville. The second is the aforementioned AVCA Pairs National Championship November 6-8. Two of the four Wave athletes that competed in last year's championship return this season: Skylar Ensign and Katie Hansen.
Â
Tulane wraps up the fall slate at home by hosting the Tulane Pairs Tournament on Friday, November 20, at White Sands. From there, the Wave takes a winter break before hitting the sand again for the spring 2027 portion of the schedule, which will see Tulane aim for a title defense.
Â
The Wave is the defending 2026 CUSA champion after claiming the conference crown for the first time in program history. Tulane subsequently made its first-ever appearance in the NC Beach Volleyball Championship, battling eventual national champion UCLA in the opening round. In all, nine total players return from last season's title-winning squad, including All-CUSA performers Hansen and Ensign, both seniors. Two other seniors return, including Tawny Ensign and Lauren Mann. The team welcomes eight newcomers, including four freshmen and four transfers. Head coach Eyal Zimet enters his eighth season at the helm of the program after earning CUSA Coach of the Year honors for the second time in 2026.
