Apr 3, 2026 | Women's Beach Volleyball, Women's Bowling
DALLAS – Conference USA commissioner Judy MacLeod announced over the last two days the student-athletes honored on the CUSA Commissioner's Honor Roll alongside the winners of the Commissioner's Academic Medal. Tulane beach volleyball and bowling each had multiple student-athletes recognized in both facets.
Â
A total of 3,718 student-athletes were honored on the Commissioner's Honor Roll during the 2025-26 academic year with 1,301 receiving the Commissioner's Academic Medal. To earn a spot on the Commissioner's Honor Roll, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and have completed at least one academic semester at the institution in either spring 2025 or fall 2025. To earn the Commissioner's Academic Medal, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better with the same attendance requirements.
Â
Nine Green Wave beach volleyball student-athletes were honored with the Commissioner's Academic Medal: Amirah Ali, Skylar Ensign, Tawny Ensign, Tara Gaspar, Lauren Mann, Emma Morris, Sam O'Connor, Molly Trodd, and Giorgia Walther. Tulane bowling had two honorees: Emma Fetterman and Sarah Rubi. Earlier this season, Rubi earned a nod to the CUSA All-Academic Team for bowling.
Â
All 16 members of the beach volleyball roster earned recognition on the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Joining the academic medal honorees are Avery Burks, McKenzie Cutler, Gabby Dwyer, Gigi Gallegos, Bella Griffin, Katie Hansen, and Gabbi Kucinski. Two more bowlers were recognized on the honor roll as Fetterman and Rubi were joined by Emma Figert and Paige Matiasek.
Â
The beach volleyball program is 14-8 on the season entering the weekend and in action currently at the Longhorn Showdown in Austin, Texas. The Wave is set for four duals as the team enters the back half of its campaign. The bowling squad has just one more event remaining on the schedule as the Wave aims for a title in the USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships. The event takes place in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from April 16-18.
