Fantini Named American Conference Player of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane sophomore Natalia Fantini capped off a tremendous week for the Green Wave by capturing American Conference Player of the Week honors.

The Merida, Mexico native clinched both team wins over UTSA and South Florida this weekend at Goldring Tennis Center. The triumph over the Roadrunners was a 4-3 affair, while Bulls were downed 4-1.

Fantini and doubles teammate Natalia Perez also clinched the opening point against UTSA as well.

Tulane (5-5) will play another home match on Thursday when Southern visits for a 1 p.m. match at Goldring Tennis Center. The Jaguars are 0-3 on the season.
