
Brumbaugh Named All-District by NABC

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Tulane men's basketball redshirt junior guard Rowan Brumbaugh was named Second Team All-Gulf District by the National Association of Basketball Coaches on Tuesday. This is the second season in a row Cross has earned all-district honors from the NABC.
The Washington, D.C., native led the Green Wave in scoring, rebounding, assists, and steals this season. Brumbaugh finished the year averaging 19.2 points, 4.9 boards, 3.6 assists, and 1.5 steals in 33 games including starts in all 33 for Tulane. He ranked in the top 10 in the American Conference in scoring, assists, steals, assist-to-turnover ratio, and free minutes played.
Brumbaugh tallied 30 games with double figures in scoring including a career-high 35 points twice. He poured in 35 points for the Green Wave on the road against Charlotte on January 23 and in a winning effort for the Wave against Memphis in the first round of the American Championship on March 11. Brumbaugh recorded 10 games with 20-plus points scored including four games with more than 30 points. He also posted 11 games with at least five assists and seven games with at least three steals.
During his junior campaign Brumbaugh totaled 632 points with 193 made free throws in 1,190 minutes played. He finished the season ranked second in points, third in free throws made and free throws attempted (240), and fourth in minutes played in a single season in program history. Brumbaugh earned American Conference Second Team honors and Player of the Week once (Nov. 10) after being named the Preseason Player of the Year in the league.
Through his first two season with Tulane Brumbaugh has posted 1,160 points, 296 rebounds, 281 assists, and 105 steals in 67 games. He became the 40th player in program history to reach 1,000 points in a Green Wave uniform in a 55-54 road win over UAB on February 15. He ranks 27th in program history in career points, eighth in points per game (17.31), and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.84).
