MIAMI, FL – Tulane's women's tennis team fell to FIU Thursday afternoon by a 4-2 score in Miami.

The match was delayed two and a half hours due to inclement weather.

FIU improved to 8-8 with the win, while Tulane fell to 9-9.

The Green Wave's 72nd-ranked doubles team of Campbell Ricci and Summer Chandler picked up a 6-3 win at No. 1, but the Panthers took the point as they captured the other two matches.

Micah Pierce secured the first point for the Wave with a 6-2, 6-3 win at the No. 5 spot, followed by Natalia Fantini who won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 6. Fantini has been on fire this spring, running her singles record to 10-3 with nine straight wins.

The Green Wave's next match is Saturday at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. CT against Florida Atlantic. The Owls are 6-8 this season.
