HATTIESBURG, MS – After dropping the doubles point, Tulane's women's tennis team rallied by winning three straight singles matches before Southern Miss slammed the door shut, giving the home squad a 4-3 win on Tuesday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles improved to 8-7, while Tulane fell to 9-11.

Tulane's 66th-ranked doubles team of Campbell Ricci and Summer Chandler did manage a 6-4 win at No. 1.

The Green Wave then rattled off singles victories at No. 5 by Micah Pierce, at No. 1 by Ricci and at No. 6 by Diana Badalyan.Â

The Golden Eagles clinched the overall team win at No. 2 where Sakura Sudo defeated Chandler in three sets.
