Stolakis Named NTCA All-American
Apr 9, 2026 | Women's Bowling
CLEVELAND – The National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) announced this evening its 2025-26 All-America honorees with Tulane's Mia Stolakis honored on the third team. The NTCA All-America teams and individual award winners were announced this evening at the Final Four banquet in Cleveland, where Stolakis was honored in person.
Â
Stolakis is Tulane's first NTCA All-American since Kristen Derr was tabbed an honorable mention recipient in 2024. This is the eighth time a Green Wave bowler has earned NTCA All-America honors.
Â
A senior from Worcester, Massachusetts, Stolakis is the Wave leader in strikes on the campaign with 482. She bowled in 97 percent of Tulane's frames with an overall scoring average of 205.2 per game. She ranks 24th nationally in player composite performance index (PCPI) with a mark of 88.067 percent. Adding to her national ranks, Stolakis is 15th in the country with an individual first ball "9+" percentage of 77.5. In the Baker format, she is also 15th in the nation with a double percentage of 54.7. As one of the best anchor bowlers in the nation, Stolakis is 10th with a 10th frame scoring average of 21.028, and her 10th frame double percentage is eighth at 32.1.
Â
This honor adds to already decorated senior season for Stolakis, who twice earned all-tournament team nods on the campaign. Most notably, she was the MVP of the Colonial Lanes Classic with a score of 1,182 and average of 236.40. It was her second-career MVP, making her the only Tulane bowler with two MVP honors in a career. She was also the first Wave bowler ever to win the program's Colonial Lanes Classic. Stolakis was runner-up of the SWIBC II and tallied five total top-five results this season. In January, Stolakis participated in the Team USA trials.
Â
The Green Wave will compete once more this season as the team travels to Green Bay, Wisconsin, next week for the USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships. The event begins on April 16 and runs through April 18 as Tulane, ranked No. 17 in the country, looks to claim a USBC title.
