Tulane Signs 10 Newcomers for 2026-27 Season

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane men’s basketball finalized its signing class for the 2026-27 campaign with 10 newcomers joining the Wave in Uptown this fall. The class for the Green Wave features seven transfers and a trio of true freshmen.
The incoming class for the Wave includes transfers Krystian Lewis (Louisiana-Monroe), TJ Nadeau (Detroit Mercy), Ryan Blount (Tampa), Carson Schwieger (Queens), Jordann Dumont (VCU), Joah Chappelle (Georgia State), and Dame Salane (Arizona State). Rounding out the newcomers will be freshmen Tobias Brinkley, Noah Mister, and Ryan Meltzer.
Krystian Lewis | 6’3” | Junior | Guard | Monroe, La.
Prior to Tulane: Played the 2025-26 season at Louisiana-Monroe starting all 32 games for the Warhawks… Led the team in scoring with 18.4 points per game on 36.2 percent shooting from the field, 31.5 percent from three, and 84.1 percent from the free throw line… Scored 20 points or more including a career-high 33 points against Arkansas State… Dished out a team high 103 assists (3.2/game) and recorded a team best 45 steals (1.4/game)… Posted a double-double with 20 points and 10 boards against Southern Miss… Played one season at Pearl River Community College in 2024-25 starting all 31 games as a true freshman… Named to the All-MACCC Second Team after averaging 15.5 points, 4.3 assists, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.8 steals… Attended Wossman High School where he was named the 2024 Most Outstanding Player and selected to the 2024 State All-Tournament Team… Earned 3A All-State honors as a junior and senior.
TJ Nadeau | 6’5” | Junior | Guard | South Lyon, Mich.
Prior to Tulane: Played two seasons at Detroit Mercy appearing in 63 games with 37 starts… Averaged 11.3 points on 42.7 percent shooting from the field and 40.7 percent from three over two seasons with the Titans… Started all 31 games during the 2025-26 season averaging 13.8 points on 49.0 percent shooting overall and 46.7 percent from three… Scored in double figures in 21 of his 31 games as a sophomore including a career-high 28 at Oakland… Named Third Team All-Horizon League in 2026… Earned CSC Academic All-District (2026), Horizon League All-Academic (2026), Horizon League Academic Honor Roll twice (2025, 2026), and Detroit Mercy Athletic Director’s Honor Roll twice (2024, 2025)… Played four years at Detroit Catholic Central tallying more than 1,000 points in his prep career… Averaged 18.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists as a senior… Earned All-Catholic, All-County, and All-State honors as a senior… Played in the Mitten Classic boys basketball All-Star game and won the three-point contest.
Ryan Blount | 6’6” | Junior | Guard | Oviedo, Fla.
Prior to Tulane: Played in 59 games making 38 starts in two seasons at the University of Tampa from 2024-26… Averaged 16.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game across his two seasons with the Spartans… Led the team averaging 21.0 points on 48.0 percent shooting from the field and 41.0 percent from three during the 2025-26 campaign… Scored more than 20 points in 18 games as a sophomore including a career-high 33 points twice… Named D2CCA First Team All-South Region, First Team All-Sunshine State Conference, and to the Bevo Francis Award Watchlist in 2025-26… Earned NABC National Player of the Week and Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week twice… Graduated from Rockledge High School after attending Oviedo High School from 2020-23… Garnered First Team All-State, Florida Today Player of the Year, Brevard Sports Player of the Year, and two-time District Player of the Year honors during his prep career.
Carson Schwieger | 6’9” | Redshirt Junior | Forward | Overland Park, Kan.
Prior to Tulane: Started 27 of 34 games at Queens University as a redshirt sophomore in 2025-26… Averaged 10.1 points and 3.1 rebounds across 24.5 minutes per game… Shot 40.9 percent from three which ranked 34th in the country… Recorded double figures in 14 games including a career-high 29 points against North Florida… Helped the Royals win the 2026 Atlantic Sun Tournament Championship… Played the 2024-25 season at Valparaiso making 19 appearances with three starts… Averaged 3.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in his lone season with the Beacons… Redshirted the 2023-24 season at Wright State… Spent one year Link Year Prep Academy in 2022-23… Attended Blue Valley Southwest High School prior to prep school and helped the team reach the KSHSAA State Tournament quarterfinals.
Jordann Dumont | 6’8” | Redshirt Junior | Forward | Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Prior to Tulane: Appeared in seven games at VCU during the 2025-26 season… Averaged 2.3 minutes per game for the Rams as a redshirt sophomore… Spent two seasons at Villanova from 2023-25… Played in 20 games as a redshirt freshman during the 2024-25 campaign… Averaged 1.8 points in 6.6 minutes per game while shooting 45.5 percent (10-of-22) from three… Redshirted at Villanova for the 2023-24 season… Played two years at Hamilton Heights Christian Academy in Chattanooga, Tennessee, after moving from Canada… Scored more than 1,000 points in just two seasons at Hamilton Heights… Helped Canada take bronze at the 2022 U18 FIBA Americas Championship averaging 8.5 points per game… Competed for Canada at the U19 World Cup posting 21 points and eight rebounds in a win over Japan.
Joah Chappelle | 6’8” | Junior | Forward | Atlanta, Ga.
Prior to Tulane: Played in 28 games starting 19 during the 2025-26 season at Georgia State… Averaged 7.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game for the Panthers… Led the team with 51 offensive rebounds and 24 blocks… Posted a career-high 23 points and a career-best 12 boards against Fort Valley State… Played his freshman season at Pear River Community College in 2024-25… Named the MACCC Freshman of the Year and First Team All-MACCC after averaging 16.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.2 blocks… Scored in double figures in 26 games including eight games with more than 20 points and recorded six double-doubles… Competed at Dutchtown High School during his prep career… Named the 5A State Player of the Year in Georgia.
Dame Salane | 7’1” | Redshirt Freshman | Center | Biella, Italy
Prior to Tulane: Redshirted at Arizona State for the 2025-26 campaign… Moved to the United States to begin his prep career playing at Oak Hill Academy (VA) and Stafford High School (TX)… Helped Stafford High School make the 2024 UIL Texas 4A Boys’ Basketball State semifinals as a senior… Appeared in 10 games for the Lugano Tigers in the Swiss Basketball League during the 2024-25 season… Averaged 7.8 points on 56.1 percent shooting and 78.6 percent from the free throw line while adding 5.9 rebounds… Posted 2.4 blocked shots across 27.5 minutes per game… Promoted to the top Lugano club team after averaging 14.7 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 3.1 blocks in seven games with the U23 team in the second division of the Swiss League.
Tobias Brinkley | 6’7” | Freshman | Wing | Atlanta, Ga. (Decatur HS)
Prior to Tulane: Rated as a four star recruit out of Decatur High School in Georgia by ESPN… Ranked as the 10th player in the state of Georgia and the 56th small forward in the country by ESPN… Averaged a double-double with 15.3 points and 10.2 rebounds to go with 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals per game to help Decatur reach the Georgia 5A State Tournament Elite Eight in his senior season in 2025-26… Recorded a double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds for Decatur at the Georgia Elite 8 Tip-Off Classic prior to his senior campaign… Named Preseason Second Team All-State in Class 5A and a prospect on the Atlanta All-Metro Preseason Watch List entering his senior season… Selected for the Underclassmen All-American Game… Averaged 15 points, eight boards, seven assists, and two blocks per game earning All-Region honors as a sophomore… Selected to compete in the Chris Paul Rising Stars National Camp in 2023.
Noah Mister | 6’2” | Freshman | Guard | Chicago, Ill. (Victory Rock Prep School [Fla.])
Prior to Tulane: Played his senior season for Loren Jackson at Victory Rock Prep School in Bradenton, Florida… Competed in the EYBL circuit with Meanstreets in 2025… Began his prep career at Mount Carmel High School in Chicago… Led his team to back-to-back sectional championships as a junior and sophomore… Averaged 16.5 points and 3.2 assists during his junior campaign in 2024-25… Tallied 888 points and 113 assists across three prep seasons at Mount Carmel.
Ryan Meltzer | 6’1” | Freshman | Guard | Boston, Mass. (Newman School)
Prior to Tulane: Played his prep career for Coach Jackson Johnson at Newman School in Boston, Massachusetts… Named to the Maccabi USA U18 National Team to compete in the 2025 Maccabiah Games.
