Aug 19, 2026 | Men's Basketball
NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University men's basketball will journey to the Sunshine State to begin Thanksgiving week competing in the 2026 Fort Myers Tip-Off on November 23 and 25. Games will be played at Suncoast Credit Union Arena on the campus of Florida SouthWestern State College.
The Green Wave will be part of the six-team Palms Division, joining Charlotte, Davidson, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia State, and Northern Iowa. Tulane is slated to face the Georgia State Panthers on Monday, November 23, at 3 p.m. CT before squaring off against the Davidson Wildcats on Wednesday, November 25, at 12:30 p.m. CT.
Tulane has taken the court against Georgia State and Davidson before but has not battled either program since 2018. This will mark the 10th meeting between the Wave and the Panthers with Tulane holding a 7-2 advantage. Meanwhile, this will be just the third matchup between the Green Wave and the Wildcats and the first since 1968. The two teams split the previous two meeting with each program defending home court.
The Wave has never competed in the Fort Myers Tip-Off which dates to 2018. The men's tournament features two divisions: the Palms Division which Tulane will be playing in and the Beach Division which will feature DePaul, Oklahoma, Pittsburg, and Purdue.
