Aug 25, 2026 | Men's Basketball
NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University men's basketball revealed its full non-conference schedule Tuesday for the 2026-27 season. The Green Wave will play 14 games in its non-conference slate including eight contests at home.
The 2026-27 non-conference schedule for the Wave features five in-state showdowns against teams in Louisiana with four of those matchups happening in Uptown.
Fans can get their first look at the Green Wave on Wednesday, October 28, when Tulane hosts Spring Hill College for its lone exhibition game inside Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.
The regular season will begin with three-straight home games for the Wave. Tulane will welcome UT Martin to New Orleans for the season-opener on Monday, November 2. The three-game homestand will continue against Jackson State on Thursday, November 5, and Nicholls on Tuesday, November 10.
Tulane will then hit the road for back-to-back games away from Uptown. First, the Wave will travel up to Ohio to face Akron on Saturday, November 14, before returning to the Pelican State to square off against Louisiana Tech in Ruston, Louisiana, on Thursday, November 19.
Up next, the Green Wave will take part in the Fort Myers Tip-Off in Fort Myers, Florida, during Thanksgiving week. Tulane is set to battle Georgia State on Monday, November 23, and Davidson on Wednesday, November 25. The tournament will be held at Suncoast Credit Union Arena with the Wave competing in the Palms Division.
Following the trip to Florida over Thanksgiving week, Tulane will return home to close out the month of November. The Wave will host another in-state foe on Sunday, November 29, as Louisiana-Monroe visits Uptown.
The Green Wave will head back on the road to face a familiar foe to open the month of December. Tulane is set to take the court against Southern Miss in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, on Wednesday, December 2. The matchup between the Wave and the Golden Eagles will mark the 83rd all-time meeting between the two programs on the hardwood.
After the showdown in Hattiesburg, Tulane will be back in the friendly confines of Fogelman in Devlin for a four-game homestand. During that four-game stretch, the Green Wave will take on Louisiana-Lafayette (Dec. 6), Dillard (Dec. 9), Rhode Island (Dec. 12), and Mississippi Valley State (Dec. 18).
The Wave will conclude its non-conference schedule with a neutral site contest back in the Sunshine State. Tulane will square off against Western Kentucky in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Tuesday, December 22.
