Tulane Women’s Basketball Announces 2026-27 Non-Conference Slate

NEW ORLEANS – As a new women's basketball campaign rapidly approaches, head coach Ashley Langford has announced the 2026-27 non-conference slate for her Tulane women's basketball squad. The schedule features plenty of opportunities for Green Wave fans to see the team compete with nine of the 12 non-conference contests set as home games inside Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.
The 12-game non-conference slate is preceded by an exhibition contest against Loyola University New Orleans scheduled for Tuesday, October 27. This will provide Green Wave fans a first look at the 2026-27 Tulane team prior to the official start of the season just under a week later.
That official opening contest takes place on Monday, November 2, as Tulane hosts Texas Southern. This is the first of five consecutive home games to begin the season, the longest stretch of home contests to open a campaign in program history.
Game two of the season takes place on November 8 as Tulane hosts Alabama. The Wave is hosting at least one SEC team for a second-straight season, and this the Crimson Tide's first trip to New Orleans since 2022.
Back-to-back games against Pelican State teams follow, beginning with the newly rebranded LSU New Orleans coming to Uptown on November 12. Four days later on November 16, Tulane will host McNeese State. The final contest of the opening stretch at home will see Alcorn State come to town on November 20.
Tulane will hit the road for the first time with a trip to Daytona, Florida, for the Daytona Beach Classic. The Wave is set for a pair of games right after Thanksgiving on November 27 and 28. December kicks off with one more contest in the Sunshine State as Tulane takes on former conference foe UCF on December 2 in Orlando. This will be the first meeting between the programs since the Knights departed the American for the Big 12. The last match-up also occurred in Orlando on January 17, 2023, and saw the Wave claim a 64-50 triumph.
Returning home for the remainder of the non-conference slate, Tulane will welcome two more in-state opponents to Uptown as Southeastern Louisiana comes to Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse on December 9 before a bout against Louisiana on December 13.
The Wave then hosts the annual Tulane Holiday Tournament to round out non-conference play. The four-team field features Stonehill, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, and Texas State. Tulane opens against Stonehill on Saturday, December 19. The tournament concludes the following day.
American Conference play follows, beginning on December 30, 2026, and it runs through March 6, 2027. The American Conference Women's Basketball Championship takes place March 9-13 at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. The full conference slate of action will be released at a later date.
