Sep 30, 2026 | Women's Basketball
IRVING, Texas – Tulane's 2026-27 women's basketball schedule is now complete upon the release of the American Conference slate of action by the league this morning. The league schedule consists of 18 total games split evenly with nine home and nine away match-ups.
Tulane will open the conference campaign at home for the first time since the 2022-23 season when the Green Wave welcomed South Florida to town for the league opener. Each of the last three seasons Tulane has opened conference play on the road, most recently traveling to UTSA for last season's league opener. For a second-straight season, the regular season finale will also take place at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.
The slate opens on Thursday, December 30, when Tulane hosts Wichita State. Back-to-back road trips to the Tar Heel State follow as the Wave will hit the road to play Charlotte on January 2 and East Carolina on January 9.
Returning home, Tulane hosts UAB on January 13 and then Florida Atlantic on January 16. Two road trips follow as the Wave heads to Memphis on January 20 and North Texas on January 23. The month concludes with two more home contests against Rice (January 27) and Temple (January 30).
February begins with a trip to Boca Raton, Florida, for the second seasonal match-up against Florida Atlantic (February 3). The Wave remains in the Sunshine State for a contest at South Florida on February 6. Returning home, Tulane hosts Memphis (February 13) and North Texas (February 17) in back-to-back games at Fogelman in Devlin. Another back-to-back road swing ensues with trips to Wichita State (February 21) and Tulsa (February 24).
The pattern breaks with the final three contests as Tulane welcomes Charlotte to Uptown on February 27 before traveling to face UAB on March 3. The regular season concludes on Saturday, March 6, with a home tilt against UTSA.
The 2026 American Conference Basketball Championships will be held in Tampa, Florida, at the Yuengling Center. The tournament, hosted by South Florida, takes place March 9-13, 2027.
Before the 2026-27 campaign gets underway, the conference will host the American Tip-Off on Sunday and Monday, October 11 and 12, at the JW Marriott Tampa Water Street in Tampa, Florida, to preview and highlight the upcoming season. The Wave will be represented by head coach Ashley Langford, entering her third season at the helm, and student-athletes Kanija Daniel and Sadie Shores.
The season will open with an exhibition against Loyola (New Orleans) at Fogelman in Devlin on Tuesday, October 27. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The regular season officially begins on Monday, November 2, as Tulane hosts Texas Southern at 4:00 p.m.
