HIGH SCHOOL: Honorable mention all-state pick as a defensive lineman. Also made PrepStar Magazine[apos]s All-Region team. Area nominee for the Wendy[apos]s High School Heisman National award. First team All-Suncoast and all-county selection as an offensive lineman. A PCAC first team all-conference choice as a defensive lineman. For his career, totaled 187 tackles, 94 solo, with nine tackles for loss and 10 quarterback sacks. Recovered nine fumbles and forced 10. As a tight end, caught five passes for 57 yards with four going for touchdowns. His senior year, tallied 47 solo tackles and 29 assists with three tackles for loss and a pair of sacks. Recovered three fumbles and caused five in 2000. In his junior season, credited with 40 tackles, three tackles for loss and four sacks. Four of his catches that year went for touchdowns. His team won the district championship in 2000 under Coach Joe Ionata. Three-year letterwinner in basketball who led his team in rebounding and field goal percentage.
