2001: Saw action in the first four games of the year, but missed the remainder of the season due to injury. Had four carries against BYU (8/25) for three yards. Returned five kicks against both BYU and LSU (9/1). Tallied 123 return yards against the Cougars, including a career-best 56-yard return.
2000: Played in all 11 games, including starts in the first three. Rushed for 232 yards and a team-best three touchdowns. Also tallied nine catches for 71 yards. Put together a career-best day at UL-Lafayette (10/7) with 17 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown. Also rushed for touchdowns against Cincinnati (9/30) and Houston (11/4). Had a career-long run of 34 yards against Lafayette. Snagged a pass for a career-high 22 yards against Southern Miss (10/14).
1999: Played in eight games, including making his first career start against Memphis (10/30). Rushed the ball 41 times for 167 yards. Long play was a 30-yard gain against Memphis. Caught two passes for a total of eight yards.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 1998 graduate of Jesuit High School, where he lettered in football and track. Set the school touchdown record with 22 as a junior and then set the school rushing record with 1,700 yards as a senior. A two-time all-city and all-district selection. Helped his team to the state semifinals as a junior and senior.
PERSONAL: Brant Josef Hocke. Born March 9, 1980 in New Orleans. The son of Ben Hocke and Elise Legrand. Has three younger brothers and a younger sister. Majoring in accounting and finance.
