2001: Did not play in the season-opener, but played in the final 11 games of the year. Recorded three tackles (all solo) while playing the bulk of his time on special teams.
HIGH SCHOOL: Named to the All-Louisiana team in 1999 and 2000. Selected MVP of his district following his senior season. A three-time all-district choice (1998, [apos]99, 2000). Also named Defensive MVP of his Carver High team all three years. In his career, made 313 tackles, forced 22 fumbles and collected 21 quarterback sacks. As a senior, registered 96 tackles and 13 sacks, and forced six fumbles. In his junior season, compiled 81 tackles and four sacks. Intercepted a pass and scored a touchdown that season. Credited with 90 tackles, three sacks and eight fumbles forced his sophomore season. Four-year starter at middle linebacker for Coach Jack Phillips. Also played offensive tackle. Ran the 40 in 4.5 seconds. Carver advanced to the playoffs in each of his last three years and went to the third round in 1999.
