PRIOR TO TULANE: Attended the University of Colorado in Fall 2006 as a walk-on and left after the football season... also attended The City University of New York for Fall 2007... enrolled at Tulane in the spring of 2008 and participated in spring drills as a walk-on.

HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year letterman in football for coach Jay Laquinta, was a second-team all-state and first team all-county selection as a senior at offensive guard... allowed only eight sacks, committed zero penalties and set a record with 53 pancake blocks in a single season... defensively, played tackle and registered 56 total tackles (24 solo), 22 tackles for losses, three quarterback sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and five passes broken up... as a junior, was named first team all-county and first team All-Long Island... that season, he allowed zero sacks, committed just one penalty and had 25 pancake blocks... defensively, he logged 44 tackles (20 solo), 18 tackles for a loss, two quarterback sacks, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and a pass broken up... played on defense as a sophomore and recording 30 tackles (10 solo), 15 for losses and a quarterback sack... also lettered in lacrosse.
