Facts: Born in Shenyang, China…Arrived in the U.S. in 2013 as a 14-year-old to attend the United States Basketball Academy Institute in Oregon where he was described as “A model for the future of China basketball” by event director Bruce O’Neil…Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese…His mother, Wang Fang, earned a silver medal at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and the 1994 World Championships in Sydney as a member of the Chinese women’s basketball team and coached the national team at the 2008 Olympics.
