NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University men's basketball unveiled its non-conference slate Wednesday for the 2025-26 campaign. The Green Wave will play 13 games in its non-conference schedule including nine contests at home.
The 2025-26 non-conference slate for the Wave features five in-state showdowns against teams in Louisiana including a crosstown clash with New Orleans.
Fans can get their first look at the Green Wave on Tuesday, October 28, when Tulane hosts Centenary College for its lone exhibition game in Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.
The 25-26 regular season will open with back-to-back home games for the Wave. Tulane will welcome Samford to Uptown for the season-opener on Monday, November 3, before hosting Texas State on Saturday, November 8.
Tulane will make the drive up Interstate 10 to Lafayette, Louisiana on Tuesday, November 11, for its only true road contest of non-conference play. The Green Wave will square off with the Ragin' Cajuns of Louisiana-Lafayette for the first time since 2018.
On Friday, November 14, the Wave will return home for a Crescent City battle against New Orleans. The matchup will mark the 51st meeting between Tulane and the Privateers with the series tied 25-25.
Up next, the Green Wave will take part in the Shriners Children's Charleston Classic in Charleston, South Carolina, on Friday, November 21, and Sunday, November 23. The tournament will also feature Boston College, Davidson, and Utah State in the Lowcountry Bracket with Tulane.
Tulane will come back to Uptown the week of Thanksgiving to begin a four-game home stand. A matchup with Nicholls State will open the home stretch for the Wave on Friday, November 28.
The home stand will continue in the month of December as the Green Wave will welcome Grambling State (Dec. 2), Akron (Dec. 6), and Tougaloo College (Dec. 10) to town.
On Saturday, December 13, the Wave will head to Las Vegas to face UC San Diego in the Jack Jones Classic. The contest against the Triton will be played at the Lee's Family Forum in Henderson, Nevada.
The final in-state showdown for Tulane will feature a visit to Fogelman in Devlin by the Bulldogs of Louisiana Tech on Wednesday, December 17. The meeting between the Green Wave and the Bulldogs will mark only the fifth in series history and the first since 2014.
The Wave will conclude its non-conference schedule at home on Saturday, December 20, against Portland State.
