2024-25: Posted a 1-5 overall record in singles and a 10-6 record in doubles… Earned a doubles victory with Asaf Friedler against #34 Auburn… Clinched the doubles points against Charlotte, San Diego State, and San Diego with Hady El Kordy and against UTSA in the AAC Tournament with Friedler.

Prior to Tulane: Came to Uptown after spending the fall semester at Kentucky ... Was a four-star prep recruit who ranked 74th nationally and No. 1 in the state of West Virginia ... In May of 2022, he was also ranked No. 1 in the United State Tennis Association (USTA) Boys' 16s Doubles ... Two-time high school conference player of the year and state singles champion ... Also a boys' national U16 Easter Bowl and Indoor Doubles Champion ... A Huntington, WV native, he is the son of John and Laurie Mercer, who together, have served as the head coach of the Marshall women's tennis program since 1994.
