2001 Indoor: Scored in both the long jump (eighth place, 22-07) and the triple jump (sixth place, 48-06.25) at the C-USA Championships. His best triple jump came in the first meet of his career at LSU (49-11.75).

Prep: A 2000 graduate of Irmo High School, where he lettered in basketball and track. Earned five letters in track & field and one in cross country. Helped his track team to a pair of runner-up finishes in the state. Also was a member of the state champion cross country team. Served as the track team[apos]s captain and earned all-area honors. His top long jump was 22-8, while his best mark in the triple jump was 48-2 1/2.

Personal: Born December 31, 1981 in Columbia, S.C. The son of Richard and Peggie Johnson. Has two older brothers. An honor student at Irmo, as well as a member of the Spanish National Honor Society. Majoring in finance at Tulane.
