Before Tulane: Was a three-year letter winner at Valley Christian High School, where she competed in pole under coach David Melhorn⊠During her time in high school, she qualified for state three times with the only miss being one of her seasons being canceled due to COVIDâŠWas a two-time State Champion in the pole vault and was also on the state winning team for the 4x100mâŠSet the Valley Christian school pole vault record (13'1â)...Was also a two-time District Champion, a two-time Area Champion and a two-time Regional Runner-upâŠGraduated with distinction, an AP Scholar, a member of the Honor Roll and a member of the National Honor SocietyâŠAlso was a member of the fourth place in the state swimming and diving team and sang in the choir. Â
Personal: Daughter of Rachel SmithâŠHer mother is a former Division I collegiate athlete as a gymnast at the University WashingtonâŠShe has older two siblings, in brother Cory and sister Lauren âŠEnjoys art, music, and danceâŠUndecided on a current major, but she is very passionate about animals and in working to reform the foster care system. ⊠One thing nobody knows about her is that she used to be a competitive acrobatic gymnast and she placed seventh in nationals when she was 12.
