A newcomer to the baseball program, but no stranger to Tulane Athletics, Brian Mears begins his first season as the Green Wave's administrative assistant.
A 2003 Tulane graduate with a degree in excercise and sports science and psychology, Mears is responsible for all non-coaching aspects of the baseball program. In addition to coordinating travel and lodging, Mears also helps set up community service projects, manages all office correspondence and handles registration for the Tulane baseball camps.
Mears spent the 2004-05 season as the men's basketball director of operations, and prior to that, served as a team manager as an undergrad.
A native of Houma, La., and a graduate of Vandebilt Catholic High School, Mears also assisted with men's basketball and football in high school.
