Charlotte Battiest is in her 11th year at Tulane University as assistant director for academic services.

In her current capacity, Battiest works with women's basketball, women's tennis, women's cross country, women's track & field and football. Battiest supervises and mentors a team of academic and career advisors with academic counseling of student athletes on day-to-day academic concerns, such as tutoring, mentoring and monitoring academic progress. Battiest also facilitates study and tutoring sessions, when necessary, as well as assist student-athletes with course scheduling and registration.

Battiest also serves as the advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and organizes community service events, in addition to coordinating special events, such as the Graduation Reception and the Green Globes awards ceremony.

A native of New Orleans, Battiest earned both her bachelor of arts in english and master's degree in educational administration from the University of New Orleans.
