- General Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach
Stephanie M. Sharpe, a native New Orleanian, enters her fifth year at Tulane. Her role as an assistant strength coach has included many responsibilities with various sports teams at Tulane. She follows a holistic approach to athletic performance. In coaching proper technique in order to minimize the risks of injury, she includes her knowledge of Olympic lifting to develop the strength and physical toughness of our athletes, as well as developing their mental capacity by educating athletes on regeneration and recovery modalities to help maintain longevity in their sport. She specializes in designing programs to promote better flexibility of our athletes. In addition to teaching athletes, she maintains an appetite for her own continued education and community outreach work. She has been involved with international mission trips which promote both her faith and her profession. She has previously worked in Costa Rica and South Africa on Sports Performance tours.
