(8/29), 10 assists at Wichita St. (10/24), two attacks against North Texas (10/10), and one kill at Sam Houston (8/30).
2024: Played in 25 matches … Made 21 assists and 73 digs … Had high 15 digs versus Florida Atlantic.
High School: Dayla comes to Uptown from Marietta, Georgia where she attended Pope High School. She was a 4-year letterwinner in volleyball where she led her team to four regional championship titles and one state championship title in 2022. During her career, she earned First Team All-Region, First Team All-State, and was named an AVCA Phenom. She holds the record for most career digs at Pope High School.
Personal: Dayla is the daughter of Dixon and Diana Ortiz. She has one older sister, Deyana. She is currently planning to earn her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science.
