NEW ORLEANS, La. - Despite posting more kills and blocks than the Blue Demons, the Tulane (10-12, 3-8) volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to DePaul (16-9, 8-3) Friday evening in Fogelman Arena.
The Green Wave took the opening game of the match 15-3, as they out hit the Blue Demons .439 to .188 and recorded 23 kills as a team. DePaul went on to take the following three games 15-7, 15-11, 15-8.
Junior Kim Sentmore led the Wave recording a match high 24 kills along with 18 digs. Senior Lacey Vicknair, hit .333, added 15 kills and a match high six blocks. Sophomore Erin Dobyanski had a double-double performance with 12 kills and 11 digs, while sophomore Jennifer Witte posted 58 assits.
For DePaul, Stephanie Bishop put down 22 kills, while Lara Clarkson recorded 21 kills and 17 digs.
Tulane's next match is against Marquette on Sunday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. in Fogelman Arena.
