Tulane Drops 3-1 Decision To Marquette

NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane volleyball team (10-13, 3-9) dropped a 3-1 decision to Marquette (13-10, 6-6) on Sunday, as Vesna Grbavac led the Golden Eagles to victory with a match high 28 kills.
Tulane took the opening game of the match, 15-13 but Marquette battled to take the final three games 15-13, 15-11, 15-10.
Tulane's Kim Sentmore posted 26 kills and 14 digs, while Erin Dobyanski recorded Tulane's other double-double performance with 10 kills and 14 digs. Lacey Vicknair put down 22 kills, while hitting .432 with seven blocks. Lindsey Bennett had a team high 15 digs.
Marquette's Grbavac recorded 11 digs along with the 28 kills, while Annie Richey had a match high 30 digs.
Tulane plays on Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m. against UNO, before traveling to Houston, for a weekend of Conference USA competition.
