NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane (12-8, 5-4 C-USA) volleyball team, led by career high performances from Britney Hurst and Erin Dobyanski, defeated Conference USA rival Saint Louis (9-11, 3-6 C-USA) 3-2 on Saturday evening. The game scores were 13-15, 15-13, 15-9, 4-15 and 15-9.
The win over the Billikens is Tulane's second win in nine meetings with SLU. The Green Wave remains undefeated in matches that are decided in five games. TU needs one more victory to tie last season's win total.
Hurst and Dobyanski posted 19 kills marking career bests for the duo. Hurst hit .395 on the evening and recorded a career best in block assists with a match high nine. Ashley Reese and Kim Sentmore had season highs in digs with 23 and 25 respectively. Lauren Jones-McClain had six block assists.
For Saint Louis, Colleen Hunter notched a match high 28 kills, while Dani Apted recorded a team best 11 digs.
The Green Wave travels to Southern Miss on Friday, Oct. 20 for a 7 p.m. match with the Golden Eagles.
