BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - UAB (6-22, 0-15 in Conference USA) fell to Tulane (16-13, 8-7 in C-USA) 15-9, 15-6, 16-14 in Conference USA volleyball action at Bartow Arena.
Tulane, ranked 10th in the NCAA Midwest Region, was led by senior opposite side hitter Kim Sentmore who had 15 kills, three total blocks and 26 digs. Junior middle hitter Erin Dobyanski had 10 kills, hit for .391, had nine digs and three total blocks, while junior setter Jennifer Witte posted 44 assists and five digs for Tulane.
Freshman outside hitter/middle hitter Martina Shields led UAB with 11 kills and 16 digs and senior setter Heather Dempsey posted 31 assists, 16 digs and three kills for the Blazers.
Tulane travels to Memphis Saturday for a 7 p.m. showdown with the Tigers.
UAB returns home to Bartow Arena Saturday to face Southern Mississippi at 7 p.m. Saturday's match will be the final home game for the Blazer seniors. The match has been designed Senior Night and each senior will be honored before the game.

dmission to the match is $5 for adults, $2 for children 12 and under and children under 2 are admitted free.
