
Tulane Men's Tennis Defeats Oklahoma

NEW ORLEANS -- The #42-ranked Tulane men's tennis team improved its record to 3-2 on the spring season Saturday with a 6-1 victory over Oklahoma at the Goldring Tennis Complex.
Michael Kogan, Mikko Viljanen and Goran Vasiljevic, playing at No. 1, 2 and 5 singles, respectively, all claimed straight set singles victories for the Wave. Sophomore Mattias Westerberg was victorious in a third-set tiebreaker to claim a 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 win at No. 4.
Tulane won the doubles point when Oklahoma was unable to field a No. 3 doubles team after Kogan and Viljanen defeated Tobias Kronlein and Chris Mitchell 8-2 at No. 1. Kogan and Viljanen are ranked 14th in the nation.
Tulane takes on No. 15 Baylor Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Goldring Tennis Complex. Free hot dogs and sodas are available for all fans.
