Green Wave Upsets No. 30 South Florida

FORT WORTH, Texas - Tulane University won its opening match at the Conference USA Men's Tennis Shootout, upsetting No. 30 South Florida on Friday at TCU's Friedman Tennis Center. The Green Wave will face No. 29 TCU on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
Tulane, ranked No. 40 in the nation, improves to 6-1 on the year.
Despite dropping the doubles point, the Green Wave rebounded with four singles victories to wrap up the victory.
Sophomore Michael Kogan (Kfar-Saba, Israel), ranked No. 10 in the nation, and No. 29 Victor Romero (Atizapan, Mexico) both picked up wins in singles action, remaining undefeated this season. Kogan cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 victory over South Florida's Paco Antelo, ranked No. 41 in the nation. The pair, ranked No. 13 in the country in doubles, also won at top flight doubles.
