
Green Wave Drops Second Straight in Men's Tennis

RICHMOND, Va. - Tulane University lost its second straight match, falling 5-1 to Virginia Commonwealth on Thursday afternoon. The Wave lost on Tuesday to No. 6 Mississippi and will continue their tough road trip with a match against No. 39 Virginia Tech on Friday.
The loss drops the No. 22-ranked Green Wave to 11-5, while VCU improves to 16-2 with its ninth win in its last 10 matches.
Tulane picked up its lone point at No. 4 singles as junior Jorge Lievano (Bucaramanga, Columbia) earned a hard-fought decision over Daniel Casquero, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6. The Wave's Victor Romero, ranked No. 59, also went three sets before falling to No. 65 Florian Marquardt, 4-6, 7-6, 3-6.
