Cliff Sutter To Be Honored by Tulane

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Tulane University will honor former Tulane tennis star Cliff Sutter on Sunday, April 7 by dedicating one of the courts at the Goldring Tennis Complex in his name.
Sutter was the NCAA Men's Tennis Singles Champion as a member of the Green Wave in both 1930 and 1932. He went on to advance to the semifinals of the U.S. Open in 1932 and then the quarterfinals of Wimbledon in 1933.
A reception will be held from 12 noon to 1 p.m. in the Hall of Fame Room at the James W. Wilson, Jr. Center for Intercollegiate Athletics, located on Ben Weiner Drive. At 1 p.m., Tulane and Southern Miss will begin their match with doubles action at Goldring. The Dedication Ceremony will take place immediately following doubles action of the match (approximately 2:15 p.m.).
Admission is free to the event, as well as to the tennis match.
Following the ceremony, the Green Wave and Golden Eagles will complete their match with singles play.
Tulane has a 12-6 record and is ranked No. 22 in the nation.
