Tulane to Take on UAB at the American Championships

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane's men's tennis team will open play in the American Conference Championship on Thursday morning in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The four-day tournament will be hosted at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tulsa.

The men's championship begins with three first-round matches on Thursday and continues through the final on Sunday, April 19. The winner will earn the American's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Tennis Championships.

Tulane earned the No. 9 seed and will face No. 8 seed UAB at 10 a.m. CT on Thursday, April 16. With a win, the Green Wave would advance to face No. 1 seed Rice on Friday.

Tulane is 5-6 all-time against UAB and most recently fell to the Blazers on April 9 in Birmingham. Both teams dropped matches last weekend, with UAB falling 4-2 to UTSA and Tulane falling 4-3 to South Florida.
