Green Wave Men Split at Tulsa Tennis Tourney

TULSA, Okla. - Freshman Patrizio Maucci (Neuilly, France) won his collegiate debut for Tulane University at the Hurricane Men's Tennis Invitational at the University of Tulsa on Friday morning.
Maucci defeated Arkansas' Tally Parker, 6-1, 6-1, in a first-round match, and will continue play in the main draw.
Meanwhile, junior Hannu Piiroinen (Tampere, Finland) fell to Aleksey Bubis from Arkansas, 6-2, 6-3. Piiroinen moves to the consolation bracket for tomorrow's action.
In doubles action, Maucci and Piiroinen teamed up for an 8-4 victory and advance to second round play on Saturday.
Freshman Mahir Nisar (Lahore, Pakistan) was scheduled to compete, but withdrew due to illness.
