COLUMBUS, Ohio - Tulane University sophomore Jelena Jurlina had a throw of 146 feet, two inches, to finish 13th in the discus throw at the NCAA Mideast Track and Field Regional on Saturday afternoon at Ohio State University's Jesse Owens Track Complex.
Her distance is not enough to qualify for the NCAA Championships in that event, however, she had qualified in the javelin on Friday afternoon. She will compete on June 11-14 in the javelin throw in Sacramento, Calif.
