NEW ORLEANS, La. - Tulane University senior Michael Kogan will open action at the 2004 NCAA Men's Tennis Singles Championship at 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the Michael D. Kogan is competing for the fourth straight year in the team, singles and doubles championships. He is one of 21 players to be selected for all three championships this year. The Green Wave was ousted in the second round of the team championship by Harvard.
With a win on Wednesday morning, Kogan would advance to play the winner of the match between Harvard's David Lingman and Antonio Ruiz from Texas. Ruiz is the 49th-ranked player in the nation, while Lingman is ranked 36th. Lingman defeated Kogan during the team championship on May 16th.
