NEW ORLEANS - The baseball game between Tulane and LSU at Zephyr Field on Tuesday, April 19 is sold out, Tulane officials announced Friday. No single game tickets for either the seating area or the levee will go on sale to the general public.
The game, which was moved up to a 6 p.m. (Central) start time to accommodate an ESPN2 national broadcast, is one of four Tulane will play at Zephyr Field this season. Last Saturday, 9,385 saw Tulane and defending national champion Cal State Fullerton battle, while 7,435 showed up for the Wave's game versus Arizona State on Saturday, Feb. 19.
"This has to be the earliest sellout we've had for a regular season Tulane baseball game," said Tim Zenner, Tulane Director of Ticket Sales. "It's a great statement by our fans, who have been tremendous all season long."
Tickets to Tulane's game versus LSU were sold as part of the three-game "Z Pack" as well as in a two-game set with the Cal State Fullerton contest.
A limited number of tickets have been reserved for Tulane students and will go on sale on Saturday, April 2 at the Tulane Athletics Ticket Office located in the James Wilson Center beginning at 10 a.m. Tulane students with a valid student ID will be able to purchase one ticket at the discounted student rate on that day.
In addition to the LSU game on April 19, Tulane will play host to UNO at Zephyr Field on Tuesday, May 3rd.
For ticket information on all Green Wave athletics contests, contact the Tulane Athletics Ticket Office in the James Wilson Center at 504-861-WAVE.
