Baseball’s Wachs and Cehajic Earn American Conference Weekly Honor Roll Recognition

Irving, TX – The Tulane baseball team (18-17, 6-6 American), after winning the weekend conference series over East Carolina, saw Jason Wachs and Trey Cehajic named to the American Conference's Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced this afternoon.
Jason Wachs, a sophomore outfielder from Pembroke Pines, Florida, helped lead the Tulane offense on the week as he hit .545 with four runs scored, three doubles, six hits and nine total bases. He also walked three times, had an on-base percentage of .600, a slugging percentage of .818 while driving in four runs. Wachs leads the team in RBIs (35). He also leads the conference in doubles (15). His .349 batting average is the best on the squad while his 29 walks rank second on the squad and sixth in the league.
Trey Cehajic, a graduate student pitcher from Shreveport, Louisiana, helped the pitching staff set the tone in the series victory over the Pirates by going 5.1 innings in the opening game on Friday, April 10. He limited the potent ECU attack, who had been averaging nearly eight runs a game and 10 hits a contest, to one run on four hits. He also struck out two in the victory. It was his first victory since Feb. 27 against Eastern Kentucky.
This is the second time this season and the third time in his career that Wachs has been honored by the conference (Honor Roll - 5/12/25, 3/23/26 & 4/10/26). This is the second time Cehajic has been selected in his Tulane career as he was named the league's Pitcher of the Week earlier this year (3/2/26). Overall, this is the seventh and eighth time that Tulane baseball has been honored weekly by the conference this season. The team has now been recognized by the conference 17 times the last two seasons.
