NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane volleyball team seeks its fifth-straight victory as the Tulsa Golden Hurricane visits Fogelman Arena on Friday at 7 p.m. The Green Wave have won six out of their last seven and four in a row to run their record to 13-3 overall and 3-0 in Conference USA play.
Tulane is receiving votes in the CSTV/AVCA Top 25 for the fourth-straight week. With 8 points in this week's CSTV/AVCA Top 25, Tulane is slotted 38th among vote-getters.
Tulane defeated Colorado, when the CU was 31st, and lost to then No. 10 (now No. 9) Wisconsin. Loyola Marymount was receiving votes after beating Tulane.
Tulane is one of three remaining unbeaten teams in C-USA, as Houston has match the Green Wave's 3-0 start and Marshall sits at 2-0. Last weekend, Tulane faced defending C-USA champ UAB, the team that knocked Tulane out of the C-USA championship last season, and exacted revenge with a sweep last Friday, hitting .373 for the match, led by Ksenija Vlaskovic's 19 kills.
Following that victory, the Green Wave traveled to Memphis, where Tulane enjoyed its first win over the Tigers in five years, snapping a skid that spanned six matches.
On Sunday, the Green Wave will play host to the SMU Mustangs in a 1 p.m. match. Live statistics via Gametracker and streaming video via All-Access are both available for all Tulane home matches at TulaneGreenWave.com.
