TULANE POST-GAME NOTES
- The sold-out crowd of 92,138 is the largest ever to see the Green Wave play, topping the old mark by three people. 92,135 witnessed the Tulane-LSU contest on Sept. 23, 2006 in Baton Rouge.
- The Green Wave came out clad in their road whites, but with green pants for the first time since the last home game of the 2006 season against UCF on November 18, 2006.
- Tulane is now 19-105-2 against nationally ranked opponents. The Wave have not toppled a Top 25 team since 1982 against 12th-ranked LSU. The win over the Tigers on November 27, 1982 was also Tulane's last road win over a ranked team.
- Tulane falls to 11-27-3 against Alabama all-time. The Green Wave's last win over Alabama was a 13-7 victory in 1958, when both teams were members of the SEC. The meeting was the first between the two squads since 1994. The Green Wave's last win at Tuscaloosa was a 6-0 win in Tulane's first-ever trip to Alabama, in 1900.
- TE Cody Sparks' nine-yard reception in the fourth quarter was the sophomore's first-career catch. He made his second career recpetion on the next play, a gain of five.
- In his first career start, redshirt sophomore QB Kevin Moore completed 28-of-49 for 225 yards (all career highs), without an interception. Eleven different players caught passes for the Green Wave. He entered the game with 30 completions in his career, on 54 attempts for a total of 432 yards.
- In his first career start, junior RB Andre Anderson rushed 13 times for 32 yards.
- DT Oscar Ponce de Leon and FS Corey Sonnier also made their first career starts.
- The Wave had 16 freshmen, including 11 true freshmen, make their first collegiate appearance in the game:. True freshmen Chris Asumnu, Nathan Austin, Harris Howard, Eric Jones, Alex Lauricella, Sule Osagiede, Krystofar Rhymes, Kasey Stelly, Rafael Vazquez, Troy Wainwright and Albert Williams, joined redshirt freshmen Logan CoBell, Josh Smith, Joey Ray, Taylor Echols, and walk-on Charles Gaspard in making their Green Wave debuts.
- Alabama's Javier Arenas' 87-yard punt return for touchdown in the first quarter was the first against Tulane since UTEP's Johnnie Lee Higgins 88-yarder for TD on October 14, 2006.
