Men's Tennis Travels Down I-10 to Face ULL

LAFAYETTE, La. - Having won four of its last six matches, the Tulane men's tennis team looks to carry that momentum to Saturday's dual match against Louisiana-Lafayette at 1 p.m. CDT at the Cajun Courts.
The Green Wave (9-10) is coming off a weekend that saw the squad win two of three matches against Conference USA foes, including a 4-2 victory over East Carolina and a 7-0 win at Southern Miss.
ULL (6-10) have won five of the last seven matches, including a 6-1 win over Alcorn State at home on Tuesday.
"ULL is another tough team," Tulane head coach Mark Booras said. "They got the best of us last year and we are looking for some more revenge so we can keep our momentum going."
Tulane has been led this spring season by sophomore Idan Mark. Mark, ranked 105th in the nation by the ITA, is 11-6 in singles play, while Joe Young has posted an 11-8 mark in singles. The pair has also teamed up to post a 5-3 doubles record this spring.
"Going into ULL this weekend we've really talked a lot about building on the confidence and the momentum that we've created over the last two weekends," Booras said. "The guys have been competing well. The middle stretch of the season when we were really pushed and took a bunch of losses has paid off for us because we have won four of the last six matches and are finishing strong. Our goal is to finish strong and carry that momentum into the conference tournament. If we can do that anything can happen."
The Green Wave complete the regular season Wednesday against Xavier (NO) for a 3 p.m. CDT dual match at the Goldring Tennis Center. The C-USA Tournament begins April 21 in Tulsa, Okla.
