BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Tulane's men's tennis teams looks to end a three-match Conference USA losing streak when they take to the courts to face No. 67 UAB at 2 p.m. CT on Saturday at George Ward Park.
The Green Wave (9-7, 2-3 C-USA) has lost the last three conference matches, but defeated Nicholls State, 6-1, at the Goldring Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon in its last outing.
The Blazers (14-4, 1-1 C-USA) defeated visiting East Carolina, 4-2, on Friday afternoon at Ward Park.
"UAB will be a great test for our guys," Tulane head coach Mark Booras said. "We will have to put all of the pieces of the puzzle together to continue putting ourselves in a place to be successful. We talk a lot about intensity, focus, and heart. I think if our guys compete with all of those characteristics we are a very tough team to beat."
Rodrigo Rappaccioli leads Tulane in singles with an 8-5 record that includes four straight wins. The Green Wave doubles team of Idan Mark and Joe Young has paired for seven straight victories and a 10-5 record this spring.
UAB's Daniel Moser and Chris Helliar each have 12 singles victories this spring.
Tulane will remain in Birmingham to take on East Carolina at Noon on Sunday.
