NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane men's tennis program posted 10 singles wins and six doubles victories during this past weekend when the squad of eight split up and sent four to the Rice Fall Invitational and four to Princeton, N.J. for the Princeton Farnsworth Ivy Invitational.
Dominik Koepfer, the 98th ranked singles player in the nation, and Chi-Shan Jao each claimed a pair of singles wins at Princeton, while Sebastian Rey and Constantin Schmitz each netted a pair of singles wins at Rice.
"This was a great start for our guys," Tulane head coach Mark Booras said. "These fall tournaments are always a good gauge for us to see where we stand and see what we need to improve on to get ready for the spring season.
"All together I was pleased with the results by the whole team," Booras added. "Dominik had a big win over a ranked player and then returned a few hours later and battled with the No. 8 player in the country. It was nice to see him play at a higher level. Our new guy, Constantin had two clutch wins to start his career."
