FRESNO, Calif. - The No. 22 Tulane men's tennis team (13-4) earned their second consecutive shutout on Thursday afternoon, defeating Fresno State (6-9), 4-0. As a result, the Green Wave not only wrapped a five match California road trip in which they went 4-1, but have also now won nine of their past 10 matches.
"Great finish to a long road trip," Tulane head coach Mark Booras said. "Great performance today all around. I like how the guys stepped it up to finish this week on a strong note."
Tulane seized the doubles point thanks to a new spring pairing on court three in Tyler Schick and Ian Van Cott, whom clinched with a 6-4 win over Youssef Hassan and Nikolas Papic. In singles, No. 1 Dominik Koepfer extended his winning streak to 19 while No. 83 Constantin Schmitz kept pace, as both recorded straight set wins for their 14th dual victories this spring.
