The Green Wave are making their 13th NCAA Regional appearance, including their eighth straight since the program was re-launched in 2008-09, and has advanced to the NCAA Championships six times, including 2005, 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
"We are obviously thrilled to be heading back to regionals," Tulane head coach Lorne Don said. "Our team has put together some great performances this year and we will work hard to get our lineup ready and playing their best heading into the event.
"I am very happy for our seniors, who are playing in a NCAA Regional for the fourth straight year, and I know in the backs of their minds they would also like to get back to the NCAA Championships for the fourth consecutive year. That's something we will all be pushing for in the regionals. We are excited for this opportunity and looking forward to playing against the nation's best teams once again."
Tulane joins fellow American Athletic Conference schools East Carolina, Houston and SMU in NCAA Regional play.
This year's NCAA Championship is the second year of the revised format for women's golf, with the top 15 teams and nine individuals not on those teams after 54 holes playing a final round of stroke play on Monday. After 72 holes of competition, the top eight teams will square off in a match-play format to determine a national champion.
The final day of the stroke play competition and all three rounds of match play are televised on the Golf Channel. The Golf Channel also plans extensive coverage and highlights of the preliminary rounds of the NCAA Women's Golf Championships on its studio shows and online at GolfChannel.com.
